The last and final form is the prize form, this allows the hosts/organizers to define the rewards for the participants. This can help attract participants by detailing the incentives they can earn, whether through cash, scholarships, or sponsorships.

Prizes from the Hackathon Creation Process

To better explain what's inside the Prize form, please refer to the list below.

  • Prize Name - The name of the prize indicating what the award is for. Can be a straightforward title like "First Place Prize".

  • Prize Description - A detailed explanation of what the prize is about. This section should provide enough information for participants to understand the value and the significance of the prize

  • Type of Prize - Specification for the prize

    • Monetary - Cash prizes

    • Non-Monetary - Goods, Services, Scholarships, or other non-cash rewards

  • Number of Winners - Indication of the number of winners who will receive the prize.

  • Prize Currency - Specify the currency in which the prize will be awarded.

  • Prize Amount - Specify the exact amount to be awarded to winners of the hackathon

  • Estimated Value (Non-Monetary Prize) - Provide an estimated value to give participants a sense of the prize's worth.
